Hibernian will look to recover from two goals down when they host Rangers in the second leg of the Premiership play-off semi-final on Saturday.
The game is live on BT Sport, with a 12 noon kick-off, and Rangers head along the M8 on the back of a 2-0 win at Ibrox on Wednesday thanks to goals from Nicky Clark and Kenny Miller.
Motherwell lie in wait for the winners - with the two-legged final on May 28 and 31 - and Easter Road boss Alan Stubbs believes his men can still progress.
He said: “I was disappointed by the score in midweek but I have plenty of confidence that we can turn things around. I do not believe that it is over and the players do not believe it is over.
“Rangers took a couple of chances that came their way, whereas we did not trouble their goalkeeper enough. The goal just before half-time gave Rangers a huge lift and got their crowd right up for the second half but I cannot find fault with the way the players went about things.
“We had a good opportunity before they scored but unfortunately we never took it. It would be great to score early and put Rangers under pressure but patience may be required as the second game has the potential to go to extra time. We need to defend solidly and give ourselves a platform to win the second half of the tie.”
Rangers manager Stuart McCall said: “It is a really quick turnaround from Wednesday and we have to be ready to work hard. We have an advantage but you get nothing easy in life and we will have to work hard to complete the job.
“The work-rate that was put in during the first game was tremendous but we need everyone to be refreshed as Saturday is going to be some game.
“We were running on empty a bit towards the end but we saw the game out despite Hibs having a lot of quality going forward and being dangerous at set-pieces.
“I have spoken a lot about togetherness in the group and that was there on Wednesday. We will need that again as it is only half-time.
“We have managed to have two shut-outs in a row against Hibs through a lot of hard work. If we can do that for a third time we know that we will have put ourselves through.”
