Hibernian manager John Hughes has snapped up 31-year-old Lithuania striker Valdas Trakys from Greek club Panserraikos and the much-travelled frontman becomes the seventh new arrival.
Trakys, who has also played in Russia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Iceland and Germany, could make his debut against Hamilton Accies on Saturday if international clearance is received in time.
Hughes lost top scorer Anthony Stokes to Celtic and on-loan Bristol Rovers striker Darryl Duffy is out for several weeks after suffering a broken bone in his foot at training last week.
The Hibs boss told the club's official website: "Valdas is a player who has been on our radar for a while. Over the past week we have been able to run the rule over his credentials - he fits the bill.
"He has lot of experience and a good physical presence - he will give us a different option up front and we're pleased to be able to bring him into the club."
