Ian, who was still working as the League 2 club’s kitman, had served at Shielfield Park for more than 50 years - as a player, physio, coach, interim manager and even groundsman.
SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster said: “Our thoughts are with Ian’s family, friends and everyone associated with Berwick Rangers at this very difficult time. Ian was a hugely popular figure in the Scottish game, who was well known to many of our clubs.
“Ian’s love of Berwick Rangers was renowned but I know from speaking to colleagues that he was held in high esteem around the grounds for his enthusiasm and consideration for others. He will be much missed.”

Everyone at the SPFL was saddened to learn of the death of Berwick Rangers legend Ian 'Pea' Oliver, who passed away on Thursday.
