Livingston have confirmed that David Hopkin will take temporary charge of the team for the upcoming games against St Mirren and Falkirk.
The Ladbrokes Championship club parted company with manager Mark Burchill in the wake of last week's 1-1 draw against Dumbarton and Hopkin steps up from his position as No 2.
The 45-year-old former Scotland midfielder, whose career included spells at Chelsea and Leeds United, was a coach at Morton before making the switch to Livingston.
Livi, who are second from bottom, face St Mirren in Paisley on Boxing Day then travel to Falkirk for a rearranged fixture on Tuesday December 29.
