Irons looking for third final day success

David Irons is looking to add the name of Stenhousemuir to that of Gretna and Morton as teams he has lead to a final day away triumph. Irons guided Gretna to the SPL with a win at Ross County 3 years ago and he kept Morton in the First Division in 2009 with a last day success at Firhill against Partick Thistle and he is now hoping for a Warriors win at relegated Peterhead.

Irons’ men need to a win to avoid the relegation Play-Offs whilst hoping that rivals Alloa do not pick up three points against Champions Livingston at Recreation Park with the Ochilview boss saying, “I am obviously hoping for the hat-trick. We have clung in there over recent weeks and I am hoping for another last day win to secure eighth place.”
