Former Elgin City boss Ross Jack is the new manager of Highland League side Turriff United.
The 55-year-old, who left his Borough Briggs post after nearly five years in charge in January, took in his new side’s 1-1 draw with Buckie Thistle at The Haughs on Wednesday night after being unveiled just before kick-off.
Jack’s move to the Highland League completes a 40-year round trip as he left Ross County to sign for Everton when he was 15, before going on to play for Norwich City, Lincoln City, Dundee, Dunfermline and Kilmarnock.
Bobby Beckworth, who was Jack’s assistant at Elgin, is joining him at a Turriff side that recently parted company with Mark Simpson and Graham Coutts.
Jack said: “I have been impressed with what Turriff have to offer. They are an ambitious club who want to progress and I am delighted to be able to help them do that.
“I know the football scene in the Highland League well and cannot wait to get started.”
