Rangers beat Celtic | United defeat Dundee

Rangers won 3-0 in the New Year Old Firm match at Ibrox as William Hill Premiership leaders Celtic suffered their first domestic defeat since March.

Ianis Hagi opened the scoring early on then Robin Propper and Danilo were both on target in the second half as Philippe Clement's men secured an emphatic win.

Dundee United are up to third in the table after beating Dundee 2-1 in the evening kick-off at Dens Park. Top scorer Sam Dalby struck a dramatic winner with two minutes left after Vicko Sevelj equalised. Simon Murray had given the Dark Blues the lead with a 61st-minute penalty.  

Kilmarnock moved to within three points of the top six with a 2-0 home victory over St Mirren - Bruce Anderson scored both goals for Derek McInnes' men.

Ross County beat Aberdeen 2-1 at Pittodrie, with Noah Chilvers grabbing the winner after Kevin Nisbet had cancelled out a stunning opener from Akil Wright.

A seventh-minute goal from Musa Drammeh proved decisive as second-bottom Heart of Midlothian defeated Motherwell 1-0 at Tynecastle.

St Johnstone are now five points adrift at the foot of the table following a 1-1 draw with Hibernian in Perth. Saints had Jason Holt sent off before Nicky Clark gave them the lead but Dwight Gayle equalised for David Gray's team with 11 minutes left.
