Partick Thistle have announced the passing of former player John Flanagan, who played for them from 1965 after joining from St Johnstone, until 1971 when he moved to Clyde.
Flanagan made his Thistle debut in October 1965 and went on to make 184 first-team appearances and scored 40 goals from an inside-forward position.
A club spokesperson said: “John was smallish of stature, but had a big heart and his strong, penetrating runs posed many a problem for opposing defences. He was a favourite of Thistle fans when he was here. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
The funeral takes place at Craigton Crematorium on Thursday October 3.
