Killie win on European return

Kilmarnock made a winning return to European football on Thursday evening after an 18-year absence.

Killie beat Connah's Quay Nomads 2-1 in Rhyl thanks to a late Eamonn Brophy penalty and a last-gasp Stuart Findlay header after a Greg Taylor OG had given the Welsh side the lead.

Aberdeen will take a narrow lead to Finland in their Europa League first-round qualifier after beating RoPS 2-1 at Pittodrie.

Niall McGinn and Sam Cosgrove scored for the Dons and they missed several chances before conceding a goal right at the end.
