Kilmarnock have signed Scotland internationalist Kevin Kyle until the end of next season after he was released by Coventry City.
The 27-year-old began his career with Sunderland then moved to Coventry in 2006. He was on loan with Wolves last season and also had a recent loan spell at Hartlepool.
Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies said: "When I was manager at Hearts I made an inquiry about getting Kevin on loan from Sunderland. I've tried to get him a couple of times since then so it's great to get him now. He wants to get his career going again.
"Kevin's had quite a few offers but he's excited about the challenge of coming to Kilmarnock and I'm sure he'll be terrific for us. He's a big lad who puts himself about and he can score goals and create chances. He has won a few Scotland caps and has experience."
