Kyle among four released at Ayr

Former Scotland striker Kevin Kyle has been released by Ayr United after their season ended in disappointment against Cowdenbeath in the play-offs last Saturday.

Former Scotland striker Kevin Kyle has been released by Ayr United after their season ended in disappointment against Cowdenbeath in the play-offs last Saturday.

The 32-year-old, whose previous clubs include Sunderland, Rangers, Hearts and Kilmarnock, joined the Honest Men last summer and scored five times.

Former Rangers youths Adam Hunter and Anthony Marenghi are also leaving, as is defender Gordon Pope, who has played for Dundee United, Montrose and Auchinleck Talbot.
