League 1 leaders Rangers needed a stoppage-time penalty from Lee McCulloch to earn a 1-0 win over East Fife at Bayview as they moved closer to the title.
Second-placed Dunfermline went down 3-1 at Stair Park to a Stranraer team just below them in the table. Martin Grehan's penalty and a David McKenna double did the damage and the Pars' only reply was a Danny Grainger spot-kick.
Airdrieonians moved out of the bottom two with a 3-0 home win over Ayr United thanks to goals from Craig Barr, Liam Watt and a Keigan Parker penalty.
Arbroath remain at the foot of the table despite a 4-2 victory at local rivals Brechin City. Bobby Linn bagged a double for the Red Lichties and Michael Travis and Paul McManus were also on target. Andy Jackson and Robert Thomson scored for Brechin.
Stenhousemuir boosted their play-off hopes with a 4-1 win over Forfar at Ochilview. Darren Smith and Sean Dickson both netted twice, with Stuart Malcolm scoring for the visitors.
