On-loan Caolan McAleer scored the only goal as Airdrieonians, bottom of League 1, beat second-placed Dunfermline 1-0 at East End Park on Saturday.
Arbroath, currently in the relegation play-off place, also picked up an important win as they came from behind to defeat Stenhousemuir 2-1 at Gayfield. Darren Smith gave the Warriors an early lead but Chris Scott equalised soon after and Dayle Robertson struck late on.
Brechin City won 3-1 away to Ayr United. Gerry McLaughlan and a Kyle McAusland own goal had City in control at the interval and Graham Hay made sure with a late penalty after Gordon Pope had pulled one back.
The match between Stranraer and East Fife at Stair Park was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch while leaders Rangers go to Forfar on Monday night, live on BT Sport at 7.45pm.
