East Stirlingshire’s summer signing from Forfar, midfielder Neil McCabe, is edging closer to his debut after a knee injury and trained with the rest of Craig Tully’s squad ahead of Saturday's League Cup tie with Ayr United.
Former East Fife defender Alexis Dutot has returned to France after being unable to secure full-time football in Scotland. The 21-year-old was offered deals by Berwick Rangers and Brechin City after impressing in trial games but he turned them down in the hope of landing a full-time contract elsewhere.
Dundee are taking a look at Montrose youngster Declan Milne, with the 16-year-old striker invited to join the Dark Blues for full-time training. Milne made the bench for the Gable Endies at the end of last season in between sitting his Highers at Bridge of Don Academy.
