League 2 review

Arbroath returned to the League 2 summit with a 5-2 win over Clyde at Broadwood.

Arbroath returned to the League 2 summit with a 5-2 win over Clyde at Broadwood on Saturday.

Scott Ferguson scored a first-half double after Paul McManus and Scott McBride twice had the visitors in front but Arbroath took advantage of the red card dished out to Brian McQueen.

Dylan Carreiro, on loan from Dundee, claimed a double for Allan Moore's men and Simon Murray added the fifth goal to leave Clyde, who play Montrose on Tuesday, at the bottom of the table.

Albion Rovers slip to second spot after a 1-1 draw at Berwick Rangers. Paul Currie opened the scoring but Mark McGuigan equalised for Rovers before half-time.

Montrose are up to third place thanks to a 1-0 win against Elgin City at Borough Briggs, where Paul Watson got the only goal with 20 minutes left.

Peter Weatherson, playing as a trialist, scored the winner direct from a free-kick as Annan beat East Stirlingshire 1-0 at Ochilview.

East Fife and Queens's Park drew 2-2 at Bayview. Caolan McAleer and Liam Smith scored for the Methil club, with Darren Miller and Paul Woods replying.
