The 26-year-old former Middlesbrough, Darlington, Doncaster Rovers and Portsmouth forward had been at Fir Park since January 2018.
Main joins Ash Taylor (Northampton Town) and Ryan Hedges (Barnsley) at Pittodrie on a two-year contract ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
