McCaldon exits Berwick with praise

Goalkeeper leaves Borderers

Ian McCaldonGoalkeeper Ian McCaldon has decided to end his time with Berwick Rangers due to a back injury that had seen him out of action all season. The 37-year-old, who has also played for Livingston, St. Mirren, Oxford United, Chester City, Ross County and Peterhead, has been suffering from a slipped disc and he asked for his contract to be cancelled as no return date is in sight.

Shielfield interim boss Ian Little said, “Asking to leave the club is just so typical of Ian as he wanted to be really fair to us as he will not be fit for some time. He has been a great guy to have about the place and we wish him well in whatever he does next.”
