Former Hamilton Accies and Alloa player Declan McAvoy has joined English Conference side Farnborough Town on a 6 month deal. The 23 year old impressed the Paddy Power Park side during a pre-season trial and scored the winner in a recent friendly against Walton and Hersham.
McAvoy, son of Accies assistant manager Frankie, started his career at New Douglas Park and had a loan spell at the Wasps before heading for St Andrews in Malta in 2011 however his career has been interrupted by injuries.
