Gerry McCabe has been named as the assistant manager of Dundee on a two-year deal after leaving his post at Queen of the South.
McCabe, who was previously No 2 at Kilmarnock, Hibernian, Plymouth, Dumbarton and Dunfermline, will work alongside Paul Hartley at Dens Park as the Dark Blues prepare for life in the Scottish Premiership.
A Palmerston spokesman said: "Manager Jim McIntyre would like to thank 'Cabey' for his help and assistance over the last year and it goes without saying that everyone at the club wishes him the best of luck in his new role.
"The manager will begin the search for a new assistant immediately.”
