Ian McCall has slimmed down to show he has a big appetite to return to football and has targeted the manager’s job at Morton for his comeback.
The 49-year-old former Clydebank, Airdrie, Falkirk, Dundee United and Queen of the South boss is keen to end three years out of the game since leaving Partick Thistle.
He said: “I have got myself into great shape for getting back into football. I have a hunger to get back into things and that hunger has been matched by my desire to show that I want to be managing again. I have become fitter than I have been in years and have lost four stone to get myself in shape.
“I would love the opportunity to prove myself again at Morton. The last time I was there the job was made impossible by the then chairman Hugh Scott and I had to leave.
“Things are different under Douglas Rae and I would welcome the opportunity to work there again.”
