McCracken gets full training in

Experienced Bairn heads towards debut

Falkirk’s recent recruit, former Dundee United and St Johnstone defender David McCracken, is spending his first full week training with the Bairns since joining them in the middle of August.

The 31-year-old Scotland U21 internationalist, who played alongside Bairns boss Gary Holt at Wycombe and has also had spells with MK Dons, Brentford and Bristol Rovers, was carrying an injury when he signed up but is now getting ready to make a charge for a starting place.

Technical Director Alex Smith said: “We knew when David joined it would take a few weeks to get him ready to play. He has stepped things up this week and hopefully we can have him involved before September is out.”
