McCulloch and Gibson given chance at Forfar

Experienced duo set for pre-season at Station Park

Forfar manager Dick Campbell is hoping that experienced pair Mark McCulloch and Keith Gibson are able to prove their fitness this summer and become Loons again.

Skipper McCulloch has been out of action since injuring a knee in a Ramsdens Cup tie against Dundee at Dens Park last August with Campbell looking to coax the 39 year old into making a playing comeback.

Former Dundee, East Fife, Montrose and Arbroath midfielder Gibson has been out of action since September 2012 however a loan spell at Tayport last season and a return to training at Station Park has Campbell hoping that the 33 year old will pull on sky blue colours again.

Campbell said: “I have offered both players the chance to join us for pre-season training and I hope that they do. They have both been out for a long time and may have other options they want to consider but I would like them to be with Forfar next season.”

“They are big and popular characters in our dressing room. Hopefully they will come and prove their fitness.”
