Queen of the South striker Marc McCusker is unlikely to be involved again with the Doonhamers this season as the hip injury that has plagued him since he joined in the summer from Third Division Clyde requires surgery.
The 22-year-old, who has made just 7 substitute appearances for the Doonhamers this season, will go under the surgeon’s knife later this month with manager Gus McPherson saying, “It is a real shame that Marc has not been able to contribute more but hopefully this operation will get to the root of the problem.”
