The 29-year-old right-back can count Queen's Park, Dundee, Chesterfield and Partick Thistle among his former clubs and he now moves to Easter Road.
Hibs boss Jack Ross told the club website: “Paul is someone I’ve known and rated for a long time, since I initially worked with him at Dumbarton. He’s an intelligent player who can operate in a number of positions and I’m convinced he’ll be a good addition to the squad here.”
