McGlynn wants Sunday best

Livingston boss John McGlynn is hoping his side can put on a show in front of the TV cameras and book a place in April’s Petrofac Training Cup final.

Livingston boss John McGlynn is hoping his side can put on a show in front of the TV cameras and book a place in April’s Petrofac Training Cup final.

The Championship side face 1996/97 winners Stranraer at the Energy Assets Arena on Sunday, live on BBC ALBA at 4.05pm.

McGlynn said: “Stranraer are a good side but we feel it is a good opportunity for the club and the players on TV to put on a show and get to a final.

“We’ve been delighted to compete in the tournament and we’ve had some tough games. Queen of the South went to extra time, Hearts was a big game here, then we went to Peterhead and scored late in extra time.

“We’ve been delighted with how we have played in this competition. The Petrofac Training has been good for us so far.I know there’s 90 minutes or 120 minutes to try to get to the final - but if we could it would be great to have something to look forward to.”
