Striker Mark McGuigan has done enough in his two month spell at Partick Thistle to be offered an extended deal at the First Division club.
The 23-year-old joined the Firhill side at the end of March after impressing against them in a bounce game for the Scottish University side.
The 6 foot 4 inch striker was with Celtic as a youngster before concentrating on an Honours degree in Physical Activity and Health at Abertay University in Dundee and with his course now finished McGuigan will stay with the Jags for next season.
Boss Jackie McNamara said, “Mark has been excellent since he came in and he has shown he is a good all round player and not just a big target man. He passes and moves really well and being an intelligent big guy helps.”
“We had discussed a longer deal when he came in and we will be getting that sorted out soon.”
