Peterhead manager Jim McInally has welcomed his side’s opening League 1 fixture against Stirling Albion at Balmoor.
McInally said: “I am happy that we have Stirling Albion and I am sure Stirling Albion will be happy to have us, especially as they won the last game 4-0.
“This game allows both sides a more comfortable beginning to life in a higher division than any other fixture would have. We know each other well and I do not see too many changes in both squads.”
The Blue Toon then head to Airdrie before facing one of McInally’s former teams, Morton, at home and the Peterhead boss added: “After Stirling everything is fresh to us as I have not faced Airdrie as the manager here. The last time Morton were at Balmoor was over seven years ago and I was their manager.”
