McKinnon brings in Anderson

Glebe Park side bring in one and keep two

Brechin City Manager Ray McKinnon has brought midfielder Stuart Anderson to Glebe Park following his release by Raith Rovers.

Stuart Anderson in action for Raith RoversThe 27-year-old has previously played with Southampton, Blackpool, Ross County, Livingston, Peterhead, Salisbury City, Eastbourne Borough and Raith Rovers.

Anderson will join up with two of last’s seasons squad that have agreed to remain with McKinnon after successful first seasons at Brechin.

Former Dundee defender Graham Hay, who became a vital member of the City defence after stepping up from Lochee Juniors, and former Dundee United midfielder Greg Cameron have both agreed to extend their stays.

Cameron played a handful of games towards the tail end of the season after the 21 year old had dropped out of the game after being released by the Tannadice side.

McKinnon said: “I am pleased to bring in an experienced player like Stuart and to keep hold of two players who helped us reach the Play-Offs last season. We now have 13 players signed up for next season and I will have a busy time of things over the next few weeks as I look to have my squad complete.”
