Peterhead forward Fraser McLaren’s first-team return has been delayed after he was forced off against Banks O’ Dee in the Aberdeenshire Shield last week.
The 26-year-old former Berwick player has been missing all season due to a hamstring problem but it was hoped he would make the squad for last Saturday’s game against Brechin.
Blue Toon boss Jim McInally said: “We had hoped Fraser would be available by now but unfortunately that is not the case. Hopefully we caught things in time and he will only be unavailable for a couple of weeks.”
