McLaughlin in at Greenock although ten depart

Morton sign defender but manager Moore releases ten

It was a case of one in and ten out at First Division Morton as Manager Allan Moore agreed terms with Hamilton Accies defender Mark McLaughlin to join him at Cappielow next season whilst announcing the release of the bulk of this seasons squad.

Mark McLaughlin in action for Hamilton Accies36-year-old McLaughlin is a native of Greenock and looks set to end his playing days locally despite an offer to extend his 8 year spell at New Douglas Park.

Leaving the Tail o’ the Bank are goalkeepers Colin Stewart and Matt McGinlay, defenders Stuart McCaffrey, Grant Evans, Marc Smyth and Ross Forsyth, midfield pair Iain Flannigan and Darren McGeouch as well as strikers Paul Di Giacomo and Andy Jackson.

Moore said, “I would like to thank all the players for their time at Cappielow, and wish each of them every success in the future.”
