McPherson and Millen depart Palmerston

Queen of the South management team leave Dumfries

Queen of the South’s management team of Gus McPherson and Andy Millen have left the Dumfries club in the wake of their relegation from Division One being confirmed when they lost 3-1 to Raith Rovers at the weekend.

Manager McPherson and assistant Millen joined the club last June and rebuilt the squad after inheriting just 3 players, however they were unable to repeat the success he had in his six and a half years in charge at St. Mirren.

A statement from Queen of the South said, “Gus and Andy agreed that it was in the best interests of both parties that we make the change now.  The Directors of the club would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all of their efforts in what has been a difficult season for all involved at the club.”

“We wish them well for the future.”
