Dumbarton youngster Ryan Metcalf had a memorable weekend as he made his first team debut and then notched four goals for the Sons’ youth side.
Striker Metcalf came on for the last few minutes as Jim Chapman’s first team squad lost 1-0 to Peterhead on Saturday and he showed no ill-effects of the long journey north 24 hours later as he hit four goals as Dumbarton’s under-19 side defeated Ayr United 5-2.
