Michael Tidser named Dunfermline coach

Pars appoint James McPake's replacement

Michael Tidser has been named head coach of Dunfermline Athletic.

Tidser has signed a two-and-a-half year contract at East End Park to replace James McPake at the William Hill Championship side.

The 35-year-old enjoyed success with Kelty Hearts, guiding the William Hill League 1 side towards the top of the division while playing an exciting brand of football.

He is joined in Fife by assistant Kevin McDonald.

The duo's first match in charge will be against Stenhousemuir in the Scottish Cup.
