Dunfermline striker Michael Moffat is looking forward to returning to Somerset Park on Friday night.
The 29-year-old made the move to Fife during the summer after scoring 25 goals for Mark Roberts' team last season. Dunfermline are second in League 1, one place and three points ahead of Ayr United.
He told the Dunfermline website: "I have a lot to thank Ayr for - they took a chance on me and I probably wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them. I had three-and-a-half good years there and I enjoyed every minute of it.
"I always said it would need to be a good deal to leave and you can’t beat full-time football. It was too good an opportunity and it's something I always wanted to do.
"I have not scored as many goals as I would have liked at the moment but I am sure that they will come if I keep working hard."
