Montrose recently added former Dundee United defender Adam Harwood to their squad after he impressed boss Paul Hegarty in training.
The 20-year-old had a loan stint at Links Park last season and now returns to the Ladbrokes League 2 club on a short-term deal after leaving Tannadice in the summer.
Meanwhile, Montrose have extended the loan deal of goalkeeper Jordan Millar from St Johnstone until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
