Montrose have offered deals to former Aberdeen midfielder Stephen O'Neill and ex-Stirling Albion winger Stephen Day.
Both featured in the 1-0 friendly defeat at Brechin on Saturday and Links Park manager George Shields said: "Both Stephens have impressed in pre-season and I hope to get them tied up this week.
“We are also close to offering a deal to another player who is in with us, so there is a lot happening at the moment."
