Morton are having a look at 19-year-old former St Mirren striker Jon Scullion, who was released by the Paisley side in the summer.
Scullion has been involved in pre-season with the Greenock club and scored in the 13-1 rout of Viewfield Rovers in the Renfrewshire Cup this week.
Boss Jim Duffy said: “Jon is still learning the game so there could be a role for him here in terms of getting developed. He is a very good footballer so we will have a look at him and see if he will fit into the way we are looking to do things.”
