Morton beat Dumbarton 3-0 at Cappielow on Tuesday night to claim just their fourth Championship win of the season.
Kenny Shiels’ side could have been relegated this evening but goals from Rowan Vine, Thomas O’Ware and Barrie McKay saw them claim a comprehensive victory.
The result is a blow to Dumbarton’s play-off hopes and Ian Murray’s men remain six points outside the top four with five matches remaining.
