Former Hearts and Dundee striker Christian Nade’s continued hard work in getting back to full fitness looks set to be rewarded with a deal at Championship side Raith Rovers.
The 29-year-old Frenchman ended more than a year out of the game when he signed for Dundee in January and he helped the Dark Blues to the title with two goals in their last two games.
Nade was released by manager Paul Hartley but kept working while his fellow professionals went on holiday, with fitness sessions with PFA consultant Craig Flannigan and joining Queen’s Park’s voluntary training sessions twice a week.
Nade, who also had the chance to go to a club in England, met with the Fife club on Tuesday to discuss a deal and the striker said: “I want to keep showing people that I am different type of player these days. Hopefully I will get the chance to do that at Raith Rovers.”
