Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson has made Turkish defender Alim Ozturk his latest signing.
The 22-year-old, who has previously played for Cambuur and Trabzonspor, has agreed a three-year deal at Tynecastle.
Neilson told the club's official website: "I think the fans will really take to him. He is big, strong and athletic and is also good on the ball.
"We have been trailing him for a few weeks and didn't think we had a chance of getting him but I'm delighted to have signed him - sometimes you just have to wait a little while."
