Hearts midfielder Sam Nicholson has signed a new three-year contract at Tynecastle.
The Scotland U19 internationalist enjoyed an impressive debut season, making 26 appearances and scoring two goals.
Director of Football Craig Levein told the club website: "We'll make a lot of signings over the summer and I'm expecting seven or eight players to come in but I doubt if any will be as significant as Sam re-signing.
"He is very much one of our, and Scotland's, brightest talents and confirms how serious we are about developing young players."
