New deals for Hibs seven

Hibernian have rewarded seven of their table-topping U19 side with new full-time contracts.

Ewan Moyes, Kurtis Byrne, Sean Welsh, Patrick Deane, Lee Currie, David Wotherspoon and goalkeeper Thomas Flynn have all graduated and will join the first-team squad next season. Hibs are currently top of the Clydesdale Bank U19 League and have suffered just one defeat all season.

Youth Academy Manager Bill Hendry told the club's official website: "It is a testimony to the quality of the players and the coaching within our system that so many from the Youth Academy will be challenging in the first-team squad next season.

"These young players have all shown that they have the quality to move up a level, and we hope to see them form the nucleus of Hibernian first teams of the future."
