St Mirren midfielder Conor Newton will remain with the Paisley club until the end of the season after his loan deal from Newcastle was extended.
The 22-year-old had been due to return to Tyneside this month but Buddies boss Danny Lennon has managed to hold on to the player until May.
Newton also had a successful loan spell with St Mirren last term, helping them win the League Cup, and has made a total of 42 appearances for Saints, scoring six goals.
