Morton received another boost hot on the heels of winning their first game in 9 attempts when they beat Livingston 1-0 at the weekend as David O’Brien has returned to full training after 4 months out.
The left sided midfielder dislocated a shoulder as Morton became the only team to beat Celtic domestically this season when they knocked them out of the Scottish League Cup 1-0 back in September.
The former Stirling Albion player, who turns 30 later this month, is now involved in contact work with the rest of the Cappielow squad and manager Kenny Shiels said: “It is good to have David back involved as he adds experience to our squad. Hopefully it will not be long until he is ready for first team action.”
