O'Connor leaves Berwick

Berwick goalkeeping coach leaves with Little

The most re-signed player in Berwick Rangers’ history, goalkeeper Gary O’Connor, has left the Shielfield side for a sixth time after they parted company with manager Ian Little on Sunday.

O’Connor, who played in the Scottish Cup against Culter this season, and also worked as their goalkeeping coach, started his career at Hearts in 1992 and also played for Doncaster Rovers, Dundee, Partick Thistle, East Fife, Cowdenbeath and Raith Rovers, between spells at Shielfield

The 39-year-old opted to leave out of loyalty to Little, with a club spokesperson saying: “Gary is a good friend of Ian and decided to leave Berwick after the decision that Ian was no longer the manager.”
