Orsi set to shine at Annan

Chapman excited by loan star

Recently appointed Annan Manager Jim Chapman reckons that his loan signing from Queen of the South, winger Daniel Orsi, will make the grade at the Second Division leaders if he starts being a bit greedy.

Daniel Orsi in action for Queen of the SouthThe 20-year-old has joined the Galabank side for a month to get game time after failing to claim a starting place at the Doonhamers and Chapman reckons that it is a win-win arrangement for all parties.

Chapman said: “Daniel is an exciting player with a lot of pace but he could actually do with being a bit more selfish. At Queen’s Park last Saturday he had an opportunity to put us two up but he looked for a team-mate as opposed to going on himself.”

“It might be a confidence thing and if it is I am sure playing with us will help him regain that and he will return to Palmerston more than ready to force himself into Allan Johnston’s team.”

Chapman added: “One thing I would add is that for an exciting flair player Daniel works incredibly hard at the negative side of the game. I am sure that his period with us will be good for all parties.”
