Albion Rovers goalkeeper Neil Parry has been undergoing extra training sessions with the Coatbridge club’s goalkeeping coach Ross Ballantyne after missing part of pre-season due to a throat infection.
The former Queen’s Park shot-stopper ended up in hospital after being laid low by his illness however he is making up for lost time with nightly sessions with Ballantyne including ones at Cambuslang Public Park.
Parry said: “I had fallen behind in my preparations due to my illness and I was determined to make up or that. As well as meeting at the club we have been getting together at Cambuslang as I did not want to miss the start of the season. It has been hard going but very enjoyable.”
