Peterhead manager Jim McInally is playing things cool despite seeing an 11 point lead at the top of League 2 reduced to just 5 after Annan defeated the Blue Toon last weekend before seeing off Albion Rovers in midweek.
McInally said: “This is a time for cool heads on and off the park. It is all about composure and whilst Annan have closed the gap we are still in a great position and it is still about what we do.”
“The players are excited and they are determined and as long as we stay focused we will do okay.”
The Balmoor side travel to Queen’s Park in a top versus bottom clash tomorrow and McInally is taking nothing for granted as he said: “This game is a bit different as our away games against Queen’s Park have always been at Hampden before. We are on an artificial surface in Airdrie but that perhaps brings a freshness to the game.”
“If we win the game it is a big step in moving forward towards the title.”
