League 2 leaders Peterhead are hoping that star striker Rory McAllister can shake off a hamstring injury and take the field against East Stirling this weekend.
The 26-year-old, who has scored 15 times this season, limped off with 20 minutes to go in his side’s 2-1 win over Elgin last Thursday after he felt his hamstring tighten.
Manager Jim McInally is hoping that they managed to catch things in time as he explained: “Rory has never suffered from a hamstring problem in his career but he felt it tighten considerably in the Elgin game. We managed to get him substituted quite quickly and with 10 days between our games we are hopeful that he can still make it.”
“We are very lucky in that we have Andy Rodgers available and other players keen to show what they can do and we are far from a one man team.”
