Rangers booked their place in Thursday afternoon's draw for the Petrofac Training Cup quarter-finals with an 8-1 win over Clyde at Ibrox on Monday night.
There are six more ties this evening - previewed below - while Livingston welcome Hearts to the Energy Assets Arena on Wednesday.
Brora Rangers v East Fife
Brora Rangers will look to match Formartine United’s march to the quarter-finals last season by seeing off East Fife at Dudgeon Park. The Highland League champions knocked out Stenhousemuir in the previous round and thrashed Turriff United 8-0 on Saturday. The Fifers, who beat Forfar 2-1 in round one, start their journey at 11am and head north on the back of a 3-2 home defeat to Berwick. Kevin Smith returns from a ban but back-up goalkeeper Dylan Rooney is a doubt and Cyrus Moosavi remains out.
Brechin City v Peterhead
It’s an all-League 1 clash at Glebe Park, as Brechin, who claimed an impressive 3-1 win at Cowdenbeath in the previous round, face a Peterhead side who beat Montrose 3-0 at Links Park. Fraser McLaren remains out for the Blue Toon with a hamstring injury and Andy Rodgers is a doubt with a calf problem but new signing Mark Millar, who featured as a trialist in the 2-0 win against Airdrie on Saturday, is expected to play. Brechin boss Ray McKinnon reports no injury worries after the 1-0 home victory over Stenhousemuir.
Dunfermline v Falkirk
Gregor Buchanan and Ryan Wallace, who missed Dunfermline’s 2-0 defeat at Forfar, are injury doubts again, with Alex Whittle also struggling after picking up a knock. Falkirk are without the injured Kieran Duffie and Lewis Small and Thomas Grant remains out. The Pars knocked out holders Raith Rovers with a 1-0 win at East End Park in the first round while Falkirk hammered neighbours East Stirlingshire 7-1 at Ochilview.
Morton v Berwick Rangers
Jordan Allan remains banned for Morton and Andrew Barrowman is absent with a hamstring injury while Ross Gray and Scott Dalziel miss out for Berwick, who lost 2-1 to tonight’s opponents in the League Cup earlier this month. Morton edged out Spartans in round one while Berwick beat Queen’s Park on penalties and both are on a high. Jim Duffy’s team saw off Stranraer 4-0 at Cappielow on Saturday while Colin Cameron’s team came out on top 3-2 at East Fife.
Stirling Albion v Alloa Athletic
It’s part two of the local derby, with Alloa having won 1-0 when the sides met in the League Cup at Recreation Park on August 2. Stirling beat Elgin 3-0 at Borough Briggs in round one of the Petrofac Training Cup while the Wasps cruised 4-1 at Arbroath. Greig McDonald’s men are without the injured trio of Steven Doris, Phil Johnston and former Alloa full-back James Creaney. Barry Smith’s team are again missing forward David Weatherston, who made the move from Stirling Albion during the summer.
Stranraer v Albion Rovers
Stranraer goalkeeper David Mitchell will be between the sticks for his 201st appearance despite being sent off in the 4-0 defeat at Morton and red-carded Barry Russell is also available but Steven Bell remains out. Rovers report no injury worries. Both teams knocked out higher-ranked opponents in round one, Stranraer beating Dumbarton 3-2 at Stair Park and Albion Rovers defeating Airdrieonians on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
